TEDxGeneva 2009 – What is happening? What next?

TheoB Blog

Dear TEDxGeneva friend,

It’s been a few days since TEDxGeneva 2009, and I wanted to let you know about what is happening now, and what is going to happen next.

a) Please give us your feedback

We got many emails telling us about the good and the not-so-good of the event, and I wanted to thank you for spontaneously sharing your thought, and ask all of you participants to fill in our little post-event online survey, to help us make the best 2010 TEDxGeneva possible.

It’s really, REALLY important that you give us your feedback, because TED needs to know what is working and what isn’t (for the TEDx program in general), and we at TEDxGeneva need to know too. So please take a few minutes and help us build the best experience for you next time.

Click here to access the form.

Note: if you couldn’t come to the event but wish to give feedback anyway, please mention it clearly in the survey.

b) Ask direct questions to speakers (and discuss with other attendees)

You wanted to ask a question to a speaker or share your opinion with them, but didn’t get a chance? Find their page on the speakers page and post your comment below their bio. They will then be able to answer you directly from the website, and other visitors will also be able to read, reply, and comment, thus continuing and extending online the conversation which started at the conference.

c) Watch and share photos

There has been over 900 photos taken during the event. Of course, not all of them will be published, but the pretty ones are going to be tagged with « TEDxGeneva » and « TEDx » and will be visible at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/tedxgeneva/

If you want to share the photos you took, please tag them « TEDxGeneva » and « TEDx » on Flickr. If they are on another hosting service, please let us know so we can link to them too.

Update: The TEDxGeneva account on Flickr is now at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tedxgeneva/

d) Videos of the talks are being edited

As you know from having seen the cameras and cables, every talks have been filmed and will be available for free online very soon. Please subscribe to our news feeds (on Twitter/via RSS) for more details very soon.

e) Don’t miss anything: simply subscribe now

f) More Frequently Asked Questions

Many people asked us questions, before, during, and after the event, so we thought we’d set up an FAQ page on the site. So check it out in a couple of days, if you want to know why we showed TED videos, where money came from and where it went, who we are, etc.

g) 2010?

Yes, TEDxGeneva 2010 is definitely happening. More soon. And if you have speakers you’d like to suggest, feel free to email us.

That’s all for now. Thanks in advance for sending us your feedback from the survey, and see you in 2010.

A very happy holiday season to you,
Yves
